CMB Insurance Brokers has clinched a spot in Insurance Business Canada’s annual list of the Top Insurance Employers for the second time in a row.
Feedback gathered from employees highlighted CMB’s commitment to:
Regular quarterly check-ins with employees
Annual comprehensive compensation reviews
Structured career progression opportunities and internal promotions
Generous vacation packages, plus 10 flexible days
A share purchase program
CMB also prioritizes a work-life equilibrium, fostering a cohesive social environment through team-building activities like the “Fabulous Friday” baked potato bar and festive “reindeer games” during the holiday season.
Pointing to these benefits and offerings, survey participants spoke highly of the company’s “amazing” culture and how it “looks at every way to bring a better work experience for their employees.”
“The entire organization works well together and helps one another out,” said one respondent.
“They allow employees to feel safe and heard,” said another.
According to Nicole Hewson, partner and vice president of people, CMB has focused on recruiting and nurturing exceptional talents who align with the organization’s vision.
“If we hire and develop remarkable people that share our vision, they will accomplish remarkable things,” she said. “We really do nurture our team members.”
As part of this focus, Hewson emphasized fostering teamwork and ensuring everyone shares common objectives.
“We’re always growing and looking to be better than we were yesterday,” she said.
