Best ACA Insurance Plan in Chicago?

Hi All,

I’m a 28-year-old single parent who was just diagnosed with ADHD a month ago. I have no insurance, so l’ve pretty much been paying for my doctor appointments and existing prescriptions out of pocket. In January, I’m going to start taking medication and I know Stimulants are expensive. I can’t afford to pay hundreds of dollars monthly for just one prescription, along with psych appointments

I’m a full-time student and do door dash maybe 3 times a week depending on my school schedule. I was denied Medicaid due to being noncompliant with child support. My children’s father isn’t a big fan of me putting him on child support for health insurance and I know the whole process itself is too messy for our relationship, so I refuse to go down that route.

I got accepted into the ACA and have been trying to pick the best plan. My selection for health care is mostly based around prescription copays. I’m stuck between AETNA CVS Health and United Health Care. Blue Cross seems too expensive(I could be wrong)

For those who have an ACA health care plan, which one did y’all pick, and how’s it going for you? I have until the 15th to pick so my coverage can start on the 1st, so all help is appreciated. People who take stimulants are especially helpful 😅
