Procedures before/after new health plan?

Hi so sorry for what I am sure is a simple question, I’ve just been navigating a lot of health insurance lately and my head is swimming, could use some basic clarity.

I will soon be kicked off of my parents health insurance. I am trying to get a tonsillectomy. With my parents health insurance it would be 20% coinsurance for the procedure. Next month with my new marketplace health plan I have a $1700 deductible, 30% coinsurance with the procedure, out of pocket max $8700.

It would be smarter/save money to just do it while on my parents insurance correct? Or should I wait and have it clear out my deductible for my next health plan? I don’t plan on having any major surgeries again after this but I do go to the doctor/therapy fairly regularly and I don’t know what doctors tests that might come up with? And therapists are only covered after deductible?

My brain is just tired of figuring out all this, please help hahah thank you!!
