Recommended plan for Short-term Insurance in NC for a student?

Hi all, I’m a college student in North Carolina, looking to find health insurance for the next month. I came out to my parents as trans a few months ago, which has ultimately led to them taking me off their insurance and no longer helping with my expenses. I’m currently on a gap semester, but will be returning to school in January. I will be able to get Student Blue on January 1, which is $1300 for 7 months of coverage. I will lose my current coverage on the 30th, and I am looking for an affordable short-term plan for the month of December.

I have also been told that open enrollment for Obamacare is happening now, should I look into this instead of Student Blue? I’m completely new to navigating this system myself, and I read the Getting Started information but I’m still not really sure where to start. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

EDIT: I am 21, do not smoke, and low-income (I am currently unemployed but doubt I will be making more than $20/hr or so once I find a job in the next few weeks. My parents are high-income.)
