Need help choosing new plan- Not number savvy.

Hi All. It's open enrollment here and I'm confused (designer by trade so this stuff is not my favorite). Hoping someone can help me make a logical decision.

We are a soon to be family of 4 (due date late May) in Southern California, all on my husband's insurance. I had it offered to me through my office (2 person office) but the family option seems to be cheaper. I'm choosing between two options, Anthem PPOs Gold and Silver. In either case I believe the deductible would be met by the birth (most likely c-section).

Benefits of Gold are: $1,500 deductible, 20% coinsurance after deductible is met, and $30 copay for appointments. (Monthly payment is $467) Benefits of Silver are: $4,400 deductible, 40% coinsurance, and $50 deductible for appointments. (Monthly payment is $343)

Obviously I'm wondering which would be better for our situation, I'm not sure I can justify a higher monthly payment just in case I need a specialist but maybe there are things I'm not thinking about? We currently have an HMO, which I'm not considering because my pediatric doctor options were limited.
