Help choosing between PPO and HDHP plans!

Hi there,

I am looking for some help evaluating my health insurance options (having recently moved to the US from Australia).

I have set out the options offered by my employer below, which will cover myself and my wife, both in our early/mid 30s with no major health issues. We both visit the doctor perhaps just a few times each per year.

For the HSA, my employer will make a contribution of $2,500 for myself + spouse (employer/employee HSA contributions cannot exceed $8,300 in 2024). For the PPO plans I would plan on contributing the max of $3,050 to an FSA (my employer does not contribute).

Financially, we can afford any of these options, but are just unsure which makes the most sense. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

PS: one wrinkle – would the outcome be different if my wife got pregnant next year?

Thank you in advance!
