I’ve posted here before about insurance companies lying about coverage on the marketplace. I’m on my THIRD insurance company now. All three have lied to me about my doctor being in network. They’re in network with the insurance companies but don’t take marketplace plans. First was United Healthcare, next was Blue Cross Blue Shield, and now it’s Oscar. What do I do? I feel like I’ve been defrauded. I am paying for insurance that NOBODY takes. I can’t get a plan through my employer, nor do I have another way to get insurance. I’ve paid out of pocket for every doctor’s appointment I’ve had for about a year now. Why? Because I’m under the impression they’re in network because of what my insurance company tells me and I always call the doctor’s office to find out if they’re in network… but I find out AFTER the appointment that it is NOT covered for the SOLE reason that it’s a marketplace plan.

How is this not fraud???

Edit: I live in Texas.
