HDPH or co-pay for upcoming oral surgery + other speciality treatments?

I’m trying to decide between the 2…I have a wisdom tooth extraction (impacted, surgical, will need general anesthesia so this will fall under medical insurance?) & I’ve been seeing an endocrinologist to be treated for hypothyroidism + other endocrine issues.

Which health plan makes more sense?

HDHP – $143.08 monthly premium – $1600 deductible – $2750 OOP maximum – company contributes $500 to HSA – all other services: 20% after deductible

Co-pay – $128.3 monthly premium – no deductible – $3000 OOP maximum – office visits/specialists: $25-125 – ER: $750 – inpatient admittance: $2000 – *outpatient surgery: $150-3000 – routine imaging (x-ray, lab, ultrasound): $0 – complex imaging (MRI, CT, etc.): $125-900

*I’m guessing the wisdom tooth extraction will fall under outpatient surgery since it’s impacted & I’ll be getting general anesthesia.

When I did quotes online to simulate costs, the wisdom tooth extraction for HDHP was ~$130 and the co-pay was $750…not sure if that’s per tooth or all 4 teeth + sedation. I tried calling around to ask but obviously they can’t give me much info without a consultation, which I don’t have planned until the beginning of the year.

Let me know what makes the most sense! Thank you!
