Fuelling Around podcast: Rory Bremner on his collection of epic cars and celebrities hating his impressions

Impressionist, comedian and actor Rory Bremner joins hosts Jason Plato and Dave Vitty on the award-winning podcast Fuelling Around to discuss his career and love of cars.

Bremner is best known for his impressionist work and political satire comedic skits on the hugely popular TV shows Bremner, Bird and Fortune and BBC’s Mock the Week.

The 62-year-old details how he learned his trade and how big name celebrities such as Chris Tarrant and Formula 1 commentating legend Murray Walker reacted to being the butt of his humour.

Rory Bremner on how Chris Tarrant hates his impersonation of him

Bremner has imitated a lot of celebrities over the years, but is perhaps best known for his infamous Chris Tarrant impersonation. However, the former Who Wants to be a Millionaire? presenter is not a fan of it, as detailed on the pod.

“He hates it, he says it doesn’t sound anything like me, not even close! Who are you being?,” Bremner said.

“He just pretends. I’ve known Chris a very long time and he’s great fun and what you see is what you get with Chris. He’s just one of the most uncomplicated people I’ve ever come across. Very straightforward.”
