Turning 26 & Want a Specific Health Insurnace Company

Hello,

I live in NY & am about to age out of my parents plan. I don't want to sign up with my health insurance through my company because I really like United Healthcare and they don't provide that (they provide Aetna) – I also would like to leave the job I'm in quite soon (not sure this has an impact though).

I know very little about this space. Ideally, I would stay on my parents plan and just pay them for whatever that costs them, but I don't think that is an option.

I can't seem to find any information on any indepedent plans in NY that are one of the name brand ones. United Healthcare claims to not cover my area, even though that is the current coverage I'm under. I went on healthcare.gov which lead me to nystateofhealth where when I did the compare plan options it gave me companies I'd never heard of.

Is my only option (wanting an insurance company I've heard of + paying a reasonable price) to go through my employer?
