Missed Open Enrollment; Skydiver, Looking for Insurance just for Emergencies; Out of State?

Hello everyone – Long story short I missed open enrollment and haven’t had any QLE’s. My work doesn’t offer insurance.

I’m 27 and don’t really need to go to the doctor all that often. I was prescribed adderall and trazodone in the past but income has gone up, don’t qualify for Covered CA help, and it now seems prohibitively expensive. I can function fine w/o the meds.

I’m a fairly serious snowboarder & skydiver. The prospect of an accident & medical bills freaks me out.

Talked to Kaiser; I can enroll in November but it doesn’t start until January. The state has conveniently banned short term options

THE MAIN QUESTION I HAVE; it appears that most health insurance plans will cover emergency hospital bills out of state. Not doctor visits, not prescriptions, X-Rays, etc., but hospital bills.

Can I get some sort of multi-state insurance just covering a potential hospital visit? Or any sort of nomads insurance that would work for hospitals in CA if I were to get in a bad accident

Do I have any good options such that I can keep doing the sports I love until January without this potential whole-life-in-debt doom
