hpn In Network Hell

Hi! I tried to find the most applicable subreddit and check the rules.

I am in AZ, if that matters. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield and have always had great luck with my PPO. however, this year I switch to BCBS HPN (High Performance Network). The app, website, and CS all have an extensive list of providers that take this. However, I’ve called about 20+ and NONE of them actually accept this plan.

I escalated with CS and they submitted a claim to see if they could cover my regular PCP because when someone higher up looked into it, no one within 200 miles takes this stupid plan.

I got a letter of denial simply because iTs nOT iN neTWorK. DUH? why would I submit a claim if I could find someone??

I’ve also used third party search engines (zocdoc for ex) for my plan and every doctor comes up out of network.

I’m at my wits end. I have multiple health issues and I really need a doctor. Does anyone know how I can file a claim to extend coverage to a PCP? Or a more extensive search engine? I’m so, so tired of calling places and explaining the situation and going through the schpiel just for a call back saying they don’t take me.

Please, any advise would be GREATLY appreciated.
