Time to grow up – advice on insurance options – HSA

Hello everyone,

My enrollment period is coming up and for the very first time I will be enrolling in medical benefits.

I am currently 26 and single, don't visit the doctor often unless I get injured or am really sick. Essentially go once a year or less.

I have two options for medical plans and both are HDHP, which allow me to contribute to my HSA.

Option 1:
Deductible: $1850
Coinsurance max: $2150
Out of pocket max: $4000
Monthly: $125

Option 2:
Deductible: $3100
Coinsurance max: $1900
Out of pocket max: $5000
Monthly: $70

A bit more about myself. I am relativily healthy and don't have any pressing health issues. I really only go to the doctor once a year for my fly shot, physical check up and get tested for sexually transmitted diseases. Overall pretty healthy.

Please advise!!!

I plan to contribute to my HSA as well. should I do the max?

My employer does contribute to my HSA ~ $750

Also does the HSA not apply to dental and vision expenses? Would I need HCSA for these expenses?

Any advise or feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!!
