Jamie Hopkins to Lead Bryn Mawr Trust Private Wealth Team

Jamie Hopkins

Bryn Mawr Trust announced Tuesday that financial planning expert Jamie Hopkins will join the bank-owned firm as a senior vice president and director of private wealth management on Oct. 1.

In the role, Hopkins will “lead, enhance and grow” Bryn Mawr Trust’s private wealth management business, according to a statement from the firm.

Hopkins first revealed his plans to leave Carson Group, where he has been managing partner of wealth solutions since 2021, earlier this month.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jamie to lead our private wealth management teams,” said Arthur Bacci, chief wealth officer and interim chief financial officer at Bryn Mawr Trust. “His vision, innovative mindset and strategic acumen will strengthen our wealth division and reinforce our ability to deliver unparalleled wealth management solutions.”

Hopkins joined Carson Group, which is based in Omaha, Nebraska, as director of retirement research in 2019. He took on the additional roles of managing director of Carson Coaching in 2020 and managing partner of wealth solutions in 2021.

Although Hopkins is exiting his full-time roles at the $28 billion registered investment advisor, he previously told ThinkAdvisor he would remain president of FinServ Foundation, the nonprofit group with the backing of Carson Group and BlackRock that he’s led since it opened in 2021.
