LPL Hit With Discrimination Lawsuit

Following the reporting activity, Mann “received worsened treatment from Featherson,” the suit states. “For example, Featherson became increasingly angry and short-tempered with Ms. Mann, Featherson would avoid Ms. Mann, and Featherson created a hostile work environment for Ms. Mann.”

Also, according to the suit, in or around June 2021, Mann “was denied a promotion to another department and told this was because she had not served in her current role for a year.”

However, “a white male coworker who had not been employed in his role for a year was granted a similar promotion,” according to the suit.

LPL “took adverse action” against Mann, according to the suit, including: “denying her a promotion in June 2021, giving her an off track mid-year performance review, denying her the AV Tech position, and constructively discharging her from employment due to the ongoing harassment, hostile work environment and discriminatory treatment.”

LPL’s “alleged reasons for such conduct, including her denial of the positions and ‘Off Track’ rating, are false and pretext for discrimination,” the suit contends.

LPL did not respond to a request for comment.
