The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) and the Australasian Institute of Chartered Loss Adjusters (AICLA) have teamed up for the return of the Annual Claims Convention.

Established in collaboration between AICLA and ANZIIF, the convention enables insurance and finance professionals to gain insights, network with industry leaders, and stay at the forefront of the latest trends and developments in the industry.

The 16th Annual Claims Convention will include keynote speakers and panel discussions led by distinguished industry leaders. The speakers will focus on this year’s theme: “Insurance Claims – Proactivity in Reactive Situations.”

Distinguished leader joins convention

Phil Marshall, executive loss adjuster at Sedgwick, is among the leaders who will join this year’s convention.

Commenting on the event, Marshall emphasised the evolving role of empathy within the industry: “Empathy has become an increasingly important part of the loss adjuster’s skill set. Oftentimes, our adjusters are the first people owners of homes and businesses speak to about the damage they incurred and the awful things they experienced during and after a catastrophe.”

The 16th Annual Claims Convention will commence on September 28, 2023, at Sofitel Sydney, Wentworth.
