Lockton Re hires former Canopius UK CEO Willmont to retro & property team
Lockton Re, the reinsurance unit of the independent broking group, has announced the hiring of Sarah Willmont, the former CEO of Canopius’ UK division, to its Retrocession & Property Specialty division.
Willmont will be based in London for the reinsurance broker, working within retrocession and property reinsurance broking, as well as as supporting London Market and Global production activity.

Willmont has more than 20 years of experience trading within the London Market, having begun her career as a reinsurance broker at Benfield, before moving to the underwriting side in 2014 with Canopius, holding a number of senior roles, including as an active underwriter and CEO of Canopius UK.
