HUB International has announced the appointment of Robert Hartman (pictured above) to a newly established position as executive vice president of strategic client service operations. Hartman will also join the firm’s executive management team, where he will concentrate on enhancing the client experience offered by HUB.

In this new role, Hartman’s responsibilities will include:

Identifying client outcomes that can benefit from cross-functional integrated operational design and execution
Developing client and employee programs to drive scalability
Providing operational support to rapidly growing business segments, including retirement and private wealth, private client, HUB-owned MGAs and wholesalers, employee benefits, and others
Leveraging customer, carrier, and marketing data to enable data-driven solutions and deliver high-quality client and employee experiences
Identifying and defining best practices, efficiencies, and commonalities in vendor partnerships
Exploring operational opportunities to enhance acquisition integration, supporting both top-line and bottom-line growth for HUB

Hartman has over two decades of experience in operational leadership, management consulting, and business development. According to LinkedIn, he previously served as the chief operating officer at a global specialty insurance and reinsurance firm and held various roles, including senior vice president of business development.

Before that, he was a partner at the global management consulting firm McKinsey & Company. Hartman began his career as a naval flight officer in the US Navy and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in mathematics from the US Naval Academy.

Hartman will report to HUB president and CEO Marc Cohen.

“HUB has experienced fivefold growth over the last 10 years, driven by both organic growth and broadened client relationships as well as our active M&A strategy,” Cohen said. “It is that growth that is fueling the opportunity to leverage Rob’s talent to elevate our client experiences across borders, lines of business, industries, and services to advance our organic growth. We look forward to working with Rob to help drive efficiency that benefits our clients and our employees.”
