(17F) Lost medicaid, not sure what to do from here.

Hi! I don’t really know how to use Reddit, and I’m not much of a writer. sorry. My mother had my sister and I on Medicaid for the majority of our lives. After being uninsured for years, she recently got insurance and is finally getting all her assessments done. When they declared COVID a state of emergency, my sister and I lost our insurance. I guess there was a grace period, but because I picked up a job during COVID, our combined income was too high, and we’re no longer eligible. This is all I’m assuming, because I don’t know anything about insurance, medicaid, or anything at all. My mother, being an immigrant with limited English or understanding and a liar, doesn’t know anything either. When I tried to help her reapply for Medicaid, she didn’t have the answers to half the questions and wanted me to lie for the remaining half. No, thank you. I wanted to know what my options were. Could I apply for my own health insurance at 17? I don’t think my mother could afford to add my sister and me to her plan. Is healthcare.gov any good? I was supposed to have gotten 900 dollars worth of dental procedures done in September, as well as braces, which I would’ve paid out of pocket for. I haven’t gotten a checkup this year or been keeping up with my shots and vaccinations. I haven’t seen my therapist or psychiatrist in months, and I’m getting to the point again where it might be a necessity.
