Marketplace Dental Insurance nightmare

Sorry if this is not the correct sub. I'm having terrible time trying to get my crown paid for.

So in 2021 I had Blue Cross Blue Shield Dental plan. In Jan 2022 I bought a marketplace plan with Delta Dental (it was administered by DD of Michigan). In December of 2022 I had a crown put in, my dentist told me I would only have to pay $400. February of 2023 I get a $500 bill from the dentist saying my crown was denied by I did not have continuous dental coverage for 12 months.

I called Delta Dental and they said it was a Marketplace issue. I called the Marketplace and they said this is DD's issue. I called back DD and finally got to a supervisor who told me to fax in a "confirmation of coverage" letter from Blue Cross Blue Shield. I did that. A couple of months go by and the dentist is still not paid.

Today I called Delta Dental and they said they still need the Marketplace to approve the waiver, as that was the policy in 2022. Starting this year DD doesn't need marketplace approval. The marketplace reps still think I'm insane when I call in.

How the hell do I get off this merry-go-round???
