My wife’s 35 weeks pregnant and we can’t get her insurance coverage

I work 2 full time jobs and my wife is a full time pharmacy tech. My wife probably knows more then the average person about insurance and we were still screwed over somehow.

For the first 28 weeks of her pregnancy she was being taken care of by a wonderful clinic that was fully covered by her insurance. Sadly the owner of the practice got cancer and closed down the clinic forcing us to find another place quickly.

After finding another place and confirming with our insurance using the tax id of the hospital and the doctor were covered as well as getting confirmation with the hospital that they accepted her insurance, we thought we were in the clear and scheduled her appointments.

Fast forward to today. My wife is 35 weeks pregnant and we received a bill in the mail stating we owe $2500 due to 0 coverage from our insurance.

Now we are left out to dry since I can't add my wife to either one of my insurances since there's no life event happening that they'd accept and no hospital in the area can see us before the end up August. Her due date is Sept 4th.

Is there any recourse that I have to avoid having to pay tens of thousands of dollars due to not being able to find a hospital and doctor in my wife's insurance plan?

TLDR: 3 different insurance plans and still most likely have to pay out of pocket for the birth of my child.
