It’s nearing its $100,000 fundraising target

BIG Hearts Foundation, a nonprofit organization launched by Billyard Insurance Group, has raised over $77,000 through a charity event at the Port Colborne Country Club in Ontario.

The BIG Hearts Golf Tournament event brought together avid golfers, community leaders, and philanthropists to raise funds for the foundation’s initiatives aimed at uplifting vulnerable children across Canada.

Collaborating with child-focused charities nationwide, BIG Hearts advocates for vulnerable children and aids their families. At its latest event, the foundation raised a total of $77,800, which will be used to support community-driven projects in education, healthcare, and poverty alleviation.

BIG Hearts is actively seeking donations to achieve its fundraising goal of $100,000 for the current year. It was able to raise a total of $73,306 in 2021.

A press release from BIG Hearts expressed appreciation for all sponsors, volunteers, participants, and donors who contributed to the of the golf tournament, stating that their support embodies the “significant impact that can be achieved when individuals and organizations unite for a common cause.”

“The success of the BIG Hearts Golf Tournament is a testament to the unwavering support and generosity of our community,” said Cindy Billyard, executive director of the BIG Hearts Foundation. “We are humbled and grateful for the overwhelming response we received. The funds raised will enable us to continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of Canadian children in need.”

The charity was unveiled in December 2020 during Billyard Insurance Group’s virtual holiday event. This first fundraising effort raised a total of $16,920.
