New to the US and first job with health insurance – could use some guidance, please!

Hi all! I'm in the thick of a huge life transition and could use some help to navigate the US healthcare system. I am originally from Canada, and moved to the US in 2021 to marry my partner. I am in the immigration process, but am approved to work in the US and I recently received a job offer that includes health insurance options. My company covers 75% of a standard package of medical, dental, and vision insurance. My partner works in the performing arts, so his insurance options aren't the best and we believe it makes sense for me to explore my employer's options.

I have the choice of United Healthcare Choice Plus metal tiers and Guardian for dental and vision (don't know what plan for dental/vision, however it seems pretty basic). I am 29M and consider myself fairly healthy and don't foresee any major health issues. With that being said, my family didn't take me to the doctor much growing up and I would like to be more proactive as I get older.

I live in NYC, so the cost of living is quite expensive and my salary isn't the greatest. Does anyone have any tips on making the best of UHC? Do you have any experience with Choice Plus and what tier did you select?

Bonus question: Is there a fitness/physical wellness portion to UHC plans? Would love to explore that for myself.

Thank you all for any advice!
