Liberty Specialty Markets concludes The Liberty Challenge Cup

Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), joined by comedian Rob Beckett, announced the winners of the Liberty Challenge Cup at its office in the Walkie Talkie building. Over the past two months, teams from across the London Market have faced off in the spirit of friendly competition, while raising money for good causes and building the networks that will help drive their careers.

Following the success and positive feedback of the inaugural Liberty Challenge Cup, it returned for a second year. Consisting of four networking events, the Cup allows young members of the London Market to build valuable contacts in a relaxed setting. Teams of brokers, underwriters, and other key market roles, compete for their chosen charities. With the winners taking £5,000 for their charity, runners-up £3,000 and third placed teams £1,000, the stakes are high. Each competing team is awarded £500 for their respective charity.

“Thank you to all those who have participated and raised money for these brilliant causes. Insurance revolves around relationships, and it has been our pleasure to help our players to make connections that will be invaluable to them as they progress through their careers in this fantastic industry,” said Richard Barrass, Broker Account Manager – Commercial, LSM. “Congratulations to winning team, “Taking the Liberty”, and their chosen charity, Cardiac Risk in the Young.”
