HealthFirst Medicaid Managed Care?

I’ve been debating about switching insurance for a while now. Currently, I have Fidelis Medicaid Managed Care.

I have some questions about HealthFirst Medicaid Managed Care because the plan seems too good to be true.

Is it true that you can just visit specialists without a referral? I mainly need specialists and would like to cut out the middle man and just be able to go straight to them. Specialists are my primary need.

Also, how is the dental coverage? I need extensive dental work and want to make sure most things will be covered. For Fidelis (through DentaQuest)I have all the basics covered (x-ray, cleanings, etc.) and for dental work (extractions, root canals, crowns, fillings, posts, cores, etc. on all teeth EXCEPT the back teeth). Just want to know if the dental coverage is the same for HealthFirst?

And just any other information anyone might have. I know that if I switch I have 90 days to switch back to Fidelis, just want to make sure the insurance is better before switching.
