Confusion about coverage under mom

So to start, I live in New York, I’m 20, and make around 30k a year. I haven’t spoken to my mom at all since I’ve turned 18 but other family members have been occasionally contacted by her. I’m really confused about the status of my health insurance and I’m not sure how to figure it out. Around May last year I had a doctors visit where I tried to use my insurance. I thought all went well until a few days later my mom contacted a family member, who I live with, saying I no longer have health insurance and she received the bill for my visit (she also said she would be sending it to me but nothing ever came of that). I had UHC for a while but during this conversation she claimed I am no longer getting health insurance through her because she makes too much. Fine. So, I went on NY State of Health to apply for Medicaid, and it denies me saying I am ineligible because I already have coverage. This confused me, so I wanted to view my portal for UHC; I called them to reset my portal password and they told me I don’t have an active plan with them. Out of confusion I left it alone until I became sick in October. When I went to my doctor (who only has my uhc info) my insurance information comes up as active from their end and they have been, to my knowledge, able to bill it. This confused me even more, so I went back to United’s website and tried to log in again through my SSN but I get an error message saying that they don’t find me in their records. Overall, none of this makes sense to me. I’m frustrated and not sure where to go from here without contacting my mother who has been abusive and manipulative my whole life. I thought she might be bluffing about me becoming uninsured, but my interactions with UHC have confused me. Also, to this day I still get the same denial when applying for Medicare.
