Questions about a 2-month insurance gap and also should I add my husband to policy?

I posted recently about the options at my new job and was given great advice about which to choose (was advised overwhelmingly to choose the high-deductible HSA plan which for me and my spouse would be $355/month premium, a $3000 individual/$5100 family deductible, $2400 in credits (total for both) in the HSA, 15% co-insurance once deductible is met, checkups and stuff covered with no deductible).

However, for just me, the premium is just $30/month, and still $1400 in credits into the HSA.

Given that there’s such a difference in monthly premium cost, I’m wondering if maybe I should look for either an ACA option or a health sharing option for my spouse (he’s self-employed). Does anyone know if income for an ACA plan is determined based on joint or separate income? He makes very little on paper because of business deductions.

Also, we will have a 2-month gap in coverage. Any suggestions as to whether we should try to find an ACA plan for that time period (we will also be moving, so I have no idea which state we should do it in…and may be in one state for the first month but the new state for the second month)? Or should we just wing and prayer it and get retroactive Cobra (I believe you have 60 days?) if something catastrophic were to happen in that time period? We are both in our early 40s and relatively healthy. Also, it is a problem if you have a 2 month gap in coverage?
