Globe Life Insurance Issues – Is there anything I can do?

My Mom took out a life insurance policy through Globe life for both my sister and I when we were really young. When my Mom passed away in 2012 (I was 22), my Dad provided me the information for the policy so that I could continue to pay for it myself if I chose to. It was only around $5 a month so I figured I would go ahead and continue to pay for it. My Dad had provided Globe Life with my Mother’s death certificate and I was able to switch her account to my own and switched the payments to come out of my own personal bank account with no issues whatsoever.

Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago and my boyfriend’s Mom and I were randomly talking about life insurance stuff and I remembered this Globe Life account. I wanted to go into my account and take a look at some things (and also change my bank account associated since I was going to close the current one soon because of moving) but I wasn’t able to login. When I hit the forgot password stuff, it never sent an email to any of my email addresses. I figure I probably used my old college email address which I don’t have access to any longer. I sent an email to their customer service team for assistance. They replied that I would need to send them a copy of my Mother’s death certificate before they could give me access to the account. This was already done 10 years ago and like I said above, the account has already been moved into my name and I have been paying for it myself for the past 10 years. I went back and forth with customer service and they refuse to let me into my account at this point unless I send them another death certificate. I could easily get this from my Dad but at this point I’m beyond annoyed and frustrated that I have been paying for something for 10 years and am being denied access to it. I eventually told them to just cancel the payments from coming out of my account then because I’m done. They requested the last 4 of my bank account to stop the automatic payments but I haven’t given them that… yet.

Before I cancel the auto-pay from my account, my question – Is this something I could present to a lawyer to possibly get the money back that I have been paying into that? I mean, money has been taken out of my account each month for basically no reason since they won’t even give me access to my account. I can’t get in to change beneficiaries so where would the money I have been paying for even go if I passed away? I know the answer is likely NO, I can’t get my money back lol and it’s only like $630ish over the course of 10 years but damnnnnn I am so mad LOL and figured I would see if I have any options at all or should just suck it up get over it haha.
