Can I be on two insurances? One is through my husband’s job, and the other is through my job.

Im really lost when it comes to insurance. So to keep the story short, I quit my job in September, got married in October, found out I was pregnant in November and started a new job and moved to a new house in February.

My husband added me to his insurance (BCBS) after we got married and I started seeing OBGYN M. Everything is good even though his insurance got significantly more expensive. I just pay my copay and go home every visit.

I start a remote job in February and I sign up to their insurance (Aetna). We pick what we think is the best option and I change to OBGYN S because M is too far and out of network for my new insurance. Well a week after my first visit I get a $150+ bill from stuff my insurance didn’t cover. I take full responsibility for not realizing that they only cover 100% of specialists visits after I meet my $2k deductible.

But I’m still on my husband’s insurance, so could I use it to potentially cover what my insurance won’t? Do we need to let his insurance know I have my own or viceversa?
