Express Scripts – never a straight answer

I was notified 4 days before my prescription ran out that I can’t get it filled at that pharmacy anymore. On March 1 they said it was suddenly “Out of Network” and they’re pushing me to get their 90-day mail order service. But for 2 years I’ve been getting their emails and letters saying I should try a 90-day refill and MY INSURANCE WON’T COVER IT! The best part is I keep calling their help line telling them they need to fix this and get my script filled ASAP and every person tells me something different: they warned me months ago/they aren’t allowed by law to contact us about these things; my local independent pharmacy can fill this/that pharmacy cannot because it must be 90 days; I can get a one-month supply/I must get a 90-day supply. And it’s not the fault of the people on the phone, it’s their shitty managers and the shitty VPs and the shitty “leadership” that are overpaid and clueless. The best part is that they ask me if I want to talk to their pharmacist about how I can survive without my meds – INSTEAD OF JUST SOLVING THIS PROBLEM FOR ME! It’s almost like a threat – but honestly, how can I 1. get a 90-day supply as they demand and 2. reconcile that with my insurance which won’t pay for a 90-day supply? And most of all, this is not life-or-death and I have time to complain on reddit about it – but what about all the people for whom meds are critical and who have crappy jobs that don’t give them time to make all these calls and sit on hold forever!!!????
