Hi all, some guidance here would be much appreciated! I recently have been going through a rut and decided it’s time I seek mental health services (general therapy). I have the Kaiser Silver 70 plan. Their behavioral health services line arranged a referral for me and the company (Path) contacted me today to set up my 1st therapy session. I expected to pay my normal $55 co pay per visit, however Path sent me an email saying I will have a $0 co payment, however, they also said “while you have a $0 copay, you may have a deductible you need to meet before the total session cost is $0. Until your deductible is met, session cost will be between $120-135.” I called Kaiser’s benefits line and they said that the deductible does not apply, and the representative from Kaiser said that I won’t have to pay anything for these appointments and said “the keyword in the email from Path is *may*.” I just want to be prepared for upcoming charges and I’ve gotten bad information from Kaiser’s benefits reps. before, so I am taking their information with a grain of salt for now. Anyone have any expereicne with this? Thanks a ton!
