OCTO announces operations in Singapore

“An additional step in our worldwide growth strategy”

According to a statement, the Singapore opening comes with the appointment of Florian Weber as OCTO APAC regional leader. Weber’s experience covers the handling of several long-term complex financial, insurance, and OEM partnerships. He has held various strategic roles at Porsche, as well as Alliance Group and Safe-guard Products Australia as group general manager and director. His last posting before joining the telematics company was as finance, insurance, and leasing general manager at Eurokars Group.

The presence of OCTO Telematics in Singapore presents additional sales support to existing and new customers, in addition to consolidation of the already established customer sales support of the insurance sector and further development of its core businesses in fleet management, smart mobility, digital, and data analytics solutions for smart cities.

“Our presence in Singapore is an additional step in our worldwide growth strategy,” said Nicola Veratelli, CEO of OCTO Group. “Our turnover abroad is constantly growing, and developing new markets is paramount. APAC is a key area for us, and we expect a significant increase in the coming years, as well as opportunities for cultural exchange aimed at developing new solutions tailored to the specific features of the market, which could also be the starting point for the development of innovative solutions in other countries where OCTO is already operation or will soon be.”
