CAA Club Group becomes insurance partner of CARP

CAA Club Group and the Canadian Association of Retired Persons (CARP) have jointly announced that CAA will become the new exclusive auto, home, life, travel, and pet insurance provider for CARP members.

As part of the deal, CAA will carry the CARP Recommended Seal. The partnership starts April 1, 2023, for CARP members in Ontario, with a national rollout planned for May 1, 2023.

“Everyone knows that you should visit and revisit your doctor, dentist, and ophthalmologist on a regular basis; and don’t forget that annual colonoscopy. But no-one ever checks their insurance,” said CARP president and ZoomerMedia founder and CEO Moses Zhalmer. “We diligently and often automatically make our monthly payments without asking if there’s a more comprehensive, more competitive non ageist option somewhere else. I’m proud to say we’ve discovered that there is.”

Zhalmer added that he thought that for years, CARP had been offering its members a good deal when it came to insurance.

“But compared to what was offered before, CAA provides better coverage for a better price with better customer support, including for older Canadians who may think it’s too late, too risky, and too expensive to switch,” the CARP president stated.

“CAA Club Group has admired CARP’s powerful advocacy and loyal membership for many years; and, on a personal level, Moses has been a television hero of mine for many more!” said CAA Club Group of Companies president and CEO Jay Woo. “So, of course we are excited to work directly with Moses and CARP to create a compelling insurance program for their members.”

A release mentioned that in conjunction with the partnership, CARP and CAA would be creating customized educational content for CARP’s more than 350,000 members, to be produced by ZoomerMedia.

Last year, CAA launched a new marketing campaign under the tagline “Driven by Good.” The new branding came after CAA was named the most trusted brand in Canada for the third straight year in 2022 in the annual Gustavson Brand Trust Index.
