Career pointers in this industry…

Hey everyone. So some background; I’ve been at a smaller BGA since the end of 2020, I started as an intern doing the daily operations such as answering phone calls and emailing life insurance agents and carriers. I also handle contracting and commissions questions for these agents.

In the spring of last year I graduated university and got put on full time, I still do most of the same things but my title got upgraded to Sales Associate. Since then I have somewhat changed over to the sales side of things with running quotes and illustrations for our life insurance agents that work through our BGA. I have gotten much more comfortable with the jargon of the industry and how it works.

This year, my BGA merged with a much larger IMO and now we are ran by a very big company. Nothing has been a massive change from my perspective which is good from my viewpoint.

I guess where I’m getting at with this is I am pretty young and new to this industry. I have been around long enough to see that they’re many successful people who emerge from it. My question to my friends in this thread is, how can I make it? I love the way this industry works and I would love to spend my whole career inside it, and it would be great to also become successful in the future as well. How do I go about this, any pointers on what next steps to take?

Any advice helps, thanks in advance to anyone who responds.
