Miller names account executive for Bermuda office

Re/insurance broker Miller has appointed Gary Stockley (pictured) as an account executive in the company’s Bermuda office.

As account executive, Stockley will support Miller’s primary insurance capabilities in Bermuda, leveraging his strong relationships on the island to grow out the business. He will report to Miller Bermuda head Charlie Simpson.

Stockley has more than 35 years of experience in insurance, primarily as a retail insurance broker. He spent 20 of those years working in Bermuda specialising in financial lines, professional indemnity, directors’ and officers’ liability, cyber, crime and medical malpractice insurance. Prior to joining Miller, Stockley served as vice president, insurance broking at Freisenbruch. In that role, he has responsibility for Bermuda and international professional and financial risks.

“We are very happy to welcome Gary to Miller Bermuda. His extensive retail broking experience and knowledge of the local market will contribute to our offering as we expand on the island,” said Charlie Simpson.

“I am delighted to be joining Miller and I look forward to working closely with Charlie this year to help build our network of direct clients in Bermuda and deliver optimal client insurance solutions and service,” commented Stockley on his appointment.

In late January, Miller named Matthew Keeping as head of property and casualty. Succeeding Mike Papworth, Keeping joined the company from Foresight, where he most recently served as head of distribution.
