I’m at a loss on what to do. Not sure if this is the right place for this.

I got charged out-of-pocket for a telehealth appointment, even though I’m covered for them and my provider is in-network. I asked my insurance why and they said it’s a contract issue with the provider. They tried to get a hold of my provider, but it just goes to voice-mail.

Meanwhile, my provider has been upcharging all my co-pays because my PCP is accidentally listed as a specialist when she for sure isn’t. I finally got my provider to acknowledge this and start looking into it after months and months of chasing.

I don’t always trust insurance, but I feel like this is the provider’s fault and I feel like they’ve been intentionally letting my insurance’s calls go to voice-mail. It’s a small family clinic and I’m starting to realize their business practices are less than stellar. Like, customer service/billing/administration is all one person? And the receptionist let it slip that this one-woman billing department intentionally doesn’t pick up her phone. She only answers emails and does so extremely passive aggressively too. Like, she answers my messages but ignores all my questions. Then, gaslights me about needing to be patient. It’s been weird and highly manipulative. Like, I’ve asked for an itemized bill and she keeps ignoring that. I know I can at least report that to the regulatory agency eventually.

I feel really bummed out because I love my doctor. I don’t want to lose her, but the business is…bad. The reviews on Google all say the same thing I’m saying too – corrupt business, overcharges galore, constant run-around

Any suggestions? I want so badly to report this business. Who can I even report to if I wanted to? I feel powerless and like I’m just going to have to eat all these extra charges. My time is almost up at this point to file a formal appeal.
