NIBA seeks young broker nominations

2 February 2023

Nominations for this year’s Young Broker of the Year award are being sought by National Insurance Brokers Association of Australia (NIBA) until the end of the month.

The national winner will be selected from five finalists across NSW/ACT, Victoria/Tasmania, SA/NT, WA and Queensland.

They receive a four-week professional development program, a ticket to the NIBA Convention in October, and an opportunity to help other alumni support a local community affected by a major weather event with a grant of $25,000 from award sponsor Vero.

The national winner receives a tailored learning experience up to $10,000, courtesy of Vero.

“Until you take part you don’t realise just how fulfilling it can be, irrespective of the outcome,” last year’s winner William Thompson said. “I got pages of feedback about how (clients) valued and trusted the advice they got from me and our firm.

“I felt like a winner at many stages throughout the process.”

Nominations can be submitted at niba.com.au/awards until February 28.
