Not sure if my parents’ health insurance Golden rule or new workplace insurance will cover orthognathic surgery in AZ?

I’m fairly young still so I’m very inexperienced in the field of insurance. I’ve had no insurance my whole life but when I got my braces, my ortho told me I might need upper jaw surgery to complete them properly.

My mom decided to get “Golden rule” health insurance to help pay for it down the line. I’ve heard this is apparently a short-term insurance plan which is supposedly bad, but I’ve had it for a couple of years now now.

Now, I’m probably going to need the surgery in roughly 6 months, and I’m worried my insurance is trash and won’t end up covering most of it, but I’m not sure because I can’t find much info about golden rule and its policies. I can’t even seem to find info like out of pocket maximums.

I recently got a new job that has insurance under united healthcare which offers plans like “navigate plus plan BLNT (HMO)” or “HSA choice plus 3c9” but I don’t really understand what this means. I also won’t be able to use the insurance for 3 months anyways. Unfortunately, I’ve heard from co-workers that this is not particularly good insurance.

How can I find out more info about these insurance plans to ensure they can cover the surgery? Am I worrying over nothing? I found out the open enrollment period is going to end soon which sent me more into a panic.

I am currently 23 and make maybe 25k a year. I live near glendale.
