Ecclesiastical Insurance named top employer in GTA
“It is an honour and a privilege to be named a Top Greater Toronto Employer for the fifth consecutive year, and especially gratifying to receive this news as we celebrate Ecclesiastical’s 50th anniversary in Canada,” said Ecclesiastical president David Huebel. “I am incredibly proud of Ecclesiastical’s employees, as they continue to find innovative ways to collaborate, support each other, and deliver outstanding service to our customers and business partners.”
Huebel added that Ecclesiastical is also happy to welcome back its teams into the office as it implements its flexible hybrid working model, noting that the award pays tribute to the company’s staff for their resilience and commitment.
According to Lorna McIntosh, VP of human resources, Ecclesiastical’s twofold goals – advising organizations that enrich the lives of others and contributing to the greater good – permeate every aspect of the company’s diverse and inclusive workplace culture.
“A sense of common purpose, of having the opportunity to make a difference while building a rewarding career, are what attracts people to our organization,” said McIntosh. “We continue to welcome new employees who are looking for an environment that offers camaraderie, mentorship, and advancement––a workplace where they can thrive and be their best selves.”
Ecclesiastical Insurance marked its 50th year of business through several initiatives, such as the latest version of its annual Community Impact Grants. Thirteen recipients were selected from all across Canada to receive financial support from the insurer. Last month, the insurer also announced that it had entered a new, two-year charitable partnership with Food Banks Canada.
