Neptune Flood names new chief risk officer

Neptune Flood has announced the appointment of Matthew Duffy as chief risk officer. Duffy previously served as Neptune’s director of risk management and internal audit.

“Matt has been instrumental in helping develop the next generation of our AI risk engine, Triton, and in building a risk apparatus that will help Neptune manage its next phase of growth,” said Trevor Burgess, president and CEO of Neptune Flood. “This is the second time I’ve had the pleasure of working with Matt. It’s rare to find a talent who works tirelessly and is dedicated to perfection.”

Prior to joining Neptune Flood, Duffy served for eight years at Bank OZK and its predecessor, C1 Bank, in numerous risk roles, including enterprise risk officer and executive vice president, director of enterprise technology solutions. He was recognized in the Tampa Bay Business Journal “40 Under 40” list in 2020.

He holds industry certifications including Certified Internal AUditor, Financial Risk Manager, Project Management Professional, Project Management Institute – Risk Management Professional, and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist.

Duffy is a graduate of Eckerd College and a former professional soccer player for Carlisle United F.C. in England.

Neptune Flood was founded in 2018. Earlier this year, the company marked a milestone when it exceeded 100,000 policies.
