Konsileo Hires Six Account Directors as National Expansion Continues

Konsileo has announced the appointment of six client directors as part of its ongoing expansion.

Jackilyn Jack joins from NFU mutual. Her focus will continue to be on agricultural, hospitality and retail clients across Scotland, growing the Scottish team.

Julie Clarke  was previously at Marsh Commercial, specialising in agriculture and property.

Katie Cooper was previously running a Coversure franchise and specialises in insuring the motor trade. Both Katie and Julie will join the fast-growing Essex hub, bringing the total to six brokers.

Terry Butcher, based in Milton Keynes, comes to Konsileo from M&DH Insurance Services, and his specialisms are construction, engineering and manufacturing.

Jamie Colvin and Michelle Eames previously worked for PIB Group, and specialise in  heavy trade construction clients, including building contractors and civil engineers. They bring the number of East Midlands brokers to seven, with Jamie focussing on new business and Michelle looking after clients day-to-day.

Konsileo has doubled in the last 12 months, and now employs over 70 people.

Freedom and flexibility

Konsileo brokers are employees with all the security and benefits that entails whilst working flexibly in a self-managed organisation. The structure is made possible by removing expensive layers of management and by Konsileo’s proprietary broking and collaboration platform. Its promise to its brokers is that they will be “the happiest, best rewarded and most professional” in the industry.

“We work in a very different way,” explains co-founder and CEO John Warburton. “There is no line management, there are no set hours – and there is no stick to beat the performance out of people. We find that by treating them like the adults and professionals they are, they, and we, get great results and great protection for our clients.

“We’re definitely shaking up commercial insurance. We set up our own broking platform, and we use centralised systems to encourage collaboration, enable peer mentoring / review, share data-led risk advice, and make progress and results instantly transparent. That means people have total control of their own working lives. And that ends up as a win-win situation for everyone.”

Innovation and trust
Client director Julie Clarke commented: “I was attracted by Konsileo’s fresh, innovative approach and flexibility to work around family and other commitments. It’s been great joining the company with a group of people and having an instant team of buddies.”

Michelle Eames added: “The trust is there from the company that I have the expertise and professionalism to do what I need to do. I know I can always put my clients first and do what is right by them.”

Konsileo will be taking on more cohorts throughout the year, training people up and starting them off with an internal network of contacts to support them.

2022: a year for national expansion
“It’s been a refreshing way to introduce new starters to people and systems,” adds Terry Butcher. “Now I’m looking forward to building up my own book of business and helping clients find the right solutions – and hopefully saving them some money in the process.”

John Warburton adds:
“Our key proposition for brokers is to help them to be the happiest, best rewarded and most professional risk advisors they can be. If you’ve got the knowledge and the ability to build those trusted relationships, we’ve got the tools for you to do the job right, and work the way you’ve always wanted to.”
