Insurance House parent buys another Victorian broker

29 November 2022

Insurance Brands Australia has acquired Victorian brokerage Mattiske & Henderson Insurance Services based in Hamilton, further extending its regional presence in the state.

The Steadfast-owned business – parent company of Insurance House and other intermediaries with a combined $438 million in annual gross written premium – has previously said it was looking to buy more regional brokerages after closing the deal for Bendigo-based Aus Insurance Services earlier this month.

Insurance House says it is “excited” to welcome the Mattiske & Hamilton team and looks forward to what they have to offer.

Mattiske & Henderson is a former authorised representative (AR) of Insurance House Advance, a network for brokers wishing to run their business.

The Victorian brokerage, in business for more than 50 years focusing on rural clients, provides a range of insurance solutions across business, farm, personal and professional lines.

Mattiske & Henderson says the change marks a “great new chapter” for the brokerage as it works to expand in western Victoria.

“We look forward to the future ahead,” Principal Scott McDonald said.

As part of Insurance Brands Australia, Mattiske & Henderson clients have access to a broader range of products such as workers’ compensation, specialty insurers, a 24/7 emergency claims line, specialist underwriting solutions and roadside assistance.
