Premium Credit cement their commitment to Ireland with new office opening

2022 saw Premium Credit achieve a new record of more than £4 billion in net advances financed with its Irish operation contributing strongly by having its own record year.

The Premium Credit Ireland team, based in Dublin and led in-country by Managing Director Ger Shannon, has continued to grow strongly right through the pandemic period and into 2022. As the leading provider of premium finance for both commercial and retail insurance products, the business has driven consistent growth in the Irish market through the development of a sophisticated technology platform and expansion into new markets, building on Premium Credit’s core capabilities and purpose driven strategy.

The Irish business under Ger’s leadership has performed very strongly through the pandemic and beyond. As a result of this success Premium Credit has been able to cement its local presence with the commitment to a new office to meet post Covid needs.

New office

The Ireland team has recently relocated into office space located in Q House in Sandyford, Dublin which is bright and modern, offering hot desking and conference facilities and will provide an excellent working environment. Premium Credit’s CEO Tara Waite officially opened the new office recently and we look forward to showing our broker partners around the new facility.

What else is new?

Growth is to be welcomed – but it provides new challenges.  Team numbers are being increased where we need to ensure ongoing, smooth and seamless customer journeys with a heavy ongoing investment in technology solutions. As the only dedicated provider committed to an in-country presence at this level, we want to manage the Insurance Premium Finance and Specialist Lending needs of local people to the highest of standards.

The coming weeks will be busy. As one of the key sponsors of the Brokers Ireland ‘Broker Expert Awards’ we look forward to meeting many of our partners at this prestigious event. We are also delighted to support Brokers Ireland and their members as sponsors of the upcoming Brokers Ireland Annual Conference in Croke Park.

Training events are also a good opportunity to meet up.  We had the chance to connect with many of our broker partners at the recent Brokers Ireland Premium Credit CPD Anti-money Laundering & Terrorist Financing  session. We look forward to seeing you at an event very soon.

The future

We are proud to support our community of customers and partners in creating opportunities through convenient payments. Even during the most challenging trading environments of late we have remained open for business, playing our part in keeping consumers going and businesses trading. We believe customers who don’t usually consider finance to cover their insurance premiums may wish to do so increasingly in the future. In the current economic climate, access to credit has become key to the viability of our shared customers.

Established in 2004, Premium Credit Ireland has been there to support our customers through the good times and the bad! Even when access to credit became difficult our door was always open. This is another opportunity for us and our partners to show how we can continue to support our mutual customers.

If we can make our partners more successful and grow by providing their customers with market leading premium finance and specialist lending options, they will deepen the relationship they have with their own customers. As our partners in Ireland prosper, we also benefit too.
