Zurich launches partnership with West Tigers

Zurich Australia has announced a new sponsorship with National Rugby League (NRL) team West Tigers.

The agreement will see the West Tigers’ new training and administrative facility dubbed the Zurich Centrem and the Zurich logo appear on the West Tiger NRLW players’ jersey from July 2023.

The new centre was opened on November 18 at a ceremony attended by state and local government officials, alongside other West Tigers representatives and partners.

It will form part of the new Concord Oval and community sports precinct, hosting a pool, gym, wrestling room and physiotherapy section.

“The new ‘Zurich Centre’ marks a real milestone for the Wests Tigers and the local community, providing players with access to world class facilities so they can perform at their best,” Zurich Australia CEO Justin Delaney said

Mr Delaney says he is “incredibly proud” to back the West Tigers’ inaugural NRLW team and championed support for the growth of women’s sport and grassroots rugby league in Australia.

“This is a natural alignment between our two organisations which are committed to making a real difference in local communities,” Mr Delaney said.

West Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe praised Zurich’s “highly reputable international brand” and said the two organisations “share strong community values”.

“The Zurich Centre gives us something to be truly proud of and it provides our players and staff with an environment that will help them to be the very best they can be,” Mr Pascoe said.
