Oracle Group announces executive changes at annual conference
Oracle Group Insurance Brokers marked its yearly conference in Kingscliff, NSW, with several leadership announcements and awards.
The three-day event took place from October 30 to November 2.
Oracle Group MD Matthew Denehy announced that Jane Martin will become its new Chairperson, replacing Steven Campbell, who stepped down after seven years in the role.
Ms Martin, who previously served as Oracle Group’s Director, praised Mr Campbell’s efforts in building a “highly successful insurance network”, which has seen its annual business grow from $13 million to $146 million in gross written premiums and employ 86 authorised representatives across five states throughout his tenure.
“This business is dynamic, and I see so much potential to continue building on the successful business model that is currently in place and supporting our Authorised Representatives to thrive,” Ms Martin said.
Mr Denehy named Scott Wilford to Oracle Group’s National Board in a newly formed Director Sales and Marketing role.
“These key national board appointments demonstrate our commitment to continue building our business and broker network. We are doing everything we can to set our network up for growth and a sustainable future,” Mr Denehy said.
The conference also hosted several keynote speakers for its 110 attendants, including insurance education workshops from LMI Group founder Allan Manning and workplace mental health forums from the Black Dog Institute.
J&B Insurance’s Georgina Brown and Samantha Johnson were awarded Oracle Group’s Authorised Representative of the Year award.
Zurich received the Partner of the Year award, and Account Executive Nicole McCartney was awarded Oracle Group Employee of the Year.
“Our focus was to create a friendly environment to facilitate building relationships between our authorised representatives, staff and partners, which we did,” Oracle Group National Marketing Coordinator Paola Kohl told insuranceNEWS.com.au
Oracle Group has confirmed that plans are underway for next year’s conference, which will be located in Queenstown, New Zealand.
