Gallagher snaps up Texas MGA


Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has announced that Risk Placement Services (RPS), its US wholesale brokerage, binding authority and programs division, has acquired Texas-based Tejas American General Agency (TAGA). Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 1997, TAGA is a managing general agency that offers commercial, farm and personal insurance products to independent agents throughout Texas.

As part of the deal, TAGA leaders Bart Koch, Anita Herzog, Cindy Yorkovich, Richard Salley and their team will remain in their current location. They will report to Kevin Doyle, vice president – Western Region and Chicago for RPS.
