Adviser group names CEO successor

National network development manager Craig Winterburn has been appointed as the next chief executive of adviser group SHARE & Newpark.

Taking over on November 7, Winterburn will succeed Tony Dench. The latter, who has been CEO since March 2018, is moving to Gaze Commercial to serve as group property strategist.

“The board of SHARE/Newpark wish to thank Tony for his service, energy, and expertise over the last five years,” said chair Richard Thomas, adding that Dench will be with the network until November 4.

“We are extremely grateful for Tony’s willingness to assist us by remaining in the role until a suitable replacement could be found… All the team at SHARE & Newpark wish him well for his future endeavours.”

Winterburn, meanwhile, came onboard SHARE more than two years ago. His credentials include time spent at AMP New Zealand, Asteron Life, and Fidelity Life.

“I know he is looking forward to the opportunity to build on the momentum of the business and to lead SHARE-Newpark into its next phase of growth and success,” commented Thomas.
