Reporting expenses on Medicaid app if you just lost coverage?

I’m 27 y/o, single, no dependents. I’m applying for Medicaid in Idaho and I’m confused about how to report my medical expenses because I recently lost coverage (student health insurance plan, I graduated).

For example, my average monthly spending on prescriptions when insured was $125, but without coverage it will be $1630. I can’t afford that so I haven’t refilled some of my meds, meaning my actual spending doesn’t reflect my actual expenses. I’m not sure which number to report and what kind of documentation may be requested.

On top of the xray, ultrasound, and MRI that I had this year, I also require routine lab work which is expensive with insurance but would be astronomical without. If I report the full price for those services I’m afraid it will raise eyebrows, but I’m also concerned about underreporting my expenses.

I have medically-documented disabilities but haven’t applied for SSI or any services other than food stamps. IDK if that makes a difference.

Any advice appreciated.
