Brown & Brown taps multinational leader


Global brokerage Brown & Brown has announced the appointment of Brian Dermond as managing director and multinational leader.

In his new role, Dermond will coordinate owned and affiliated international network partners. He will also be responsible for the design, coordination and implementation of multinational insurance products for a broad range of industry segments. He will be based in Atlanta and will report to Joe Siech, CEO of Brown & Brown’s Risk Solutions team.

“We are thrilled to have Brian join the team,” Siech said. “His deep understanding of the coverage complexities and compliance needs for multinational placements is a significant asset for our customers and teammates.”

Dermond has more than 16 years of global insurance experience, specializing in program design for the M&A, nonprofit, higher education, construction and aerospace industries. Prior to joining Brown & Brown, he held various roles within the industry, with experience in underwriting, multinational program coordination and managing the Defense Base Act, Foreign Casualty and WorldRisk products for AIG.
