K&K veteran named CUO


K&K Insurance has announced the appointment of Stephanie Waldron as chief underwriting officer.

Waldron has been with K&K for 35 years, joining the firm in 1987 as a college intern and policy issuance assistant for the motorcycle personal lines retail program. Upon earning her bachelor’s degree, Waldron was offered an underwriting position at K&K.

Since then, she has worked in nearly every division, including E&A, leisure, recreation, motorsports and sports. She served as underwriting manager in the leisure division from 2007 to 2010 and as underwriting director for sports from 2010 to 2016. She was promoted to senior vice president of the events and attractions division in 2016.

Waldron holds the Certified Insurance Counselor and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designations.

“I cannot think of a more experienced leader to take over the underwriting direction for K&K Insurance,” said Ron Norton, CEO of K&K. “We are well-prepared to serve the specialty industries we insure through our colleagues dedicated to providing excellent insurance products and services.”
